Hey! Um, I was thinking maybe 3-5?? Im not sure. Through e-mails with our proff I have decided to wait to use my idea for our next lesson plan in which we will have to do a lp with excel. So, this week I am going to do a LP with webquest on why recycling is important. The media specialist part I am going to do a webquest and a group Power point to present to the school as a part of the-kick off. I think this will be an okay idea. Either way!...I am happy all is OK with your blogging :) Have fun in AZ!

Lesson Plan Ideas
Hey Jamie, the compost bin is a great idea. I was thinking about opening it up to become a school-wide project. Each classroom could have their own mini-compost bin and it all could end up in a larger school pile/bin. Anyway, this will be a great start. I will work on a compost lesson that includes why/what things compose...and why/what things do not. Great idea! Oh, I was also wondering what grade level you were looking to focus your plan on. Should focus on the same age?

Lesson Plan Topic
Hey Lindsey-
I was thinking of doing an introduction into waste and recycling for our begining lesson plans...
I was thinking that I could do like a "classroom waste audit" and the kids would empty trash cans to see what really could have been recycled. Another idea would be to start a mini compost pile in the classroom to see what items will decompose and what won't. Those are just some ideas. I think that I will for sure use the classrom waste audit as my first lesson. If you wanted to use the other idea I think together they would make a great intro into this type of unit. Let me know what you think!
